Estes Proto x Buy Now!
This quadcopter is actually a pretty popular model and is the “micro machine” of drones! You know you guys remember micro machines. I couldn’t even play with those jokers because my fingers covered up the whole car-lol. Fortunately, this is not the case with this little guy. A very fun indoor drone, and despite its tee tiny size, happens to be a fairly durable and precise rc drone. On top of being tough for its size, it also is very stable, which is why it is so precise. The controller though, is some booty! I mean, I’m not sure what they were thinking when they made a controller so small that you would have to pull the “gumby shrink down” to use it. Seriously though, unless you have the baby hand of the butler from “Haunted House” it’s not the most useful transmitter on the market. However, there is hope people! This rc drone was produced by Hubsan before being re-branded by Estes, which means that you can use the Hubsan x4 controller instead!
I hate for anyone not to have fun with Estes Proto x just because of the controller, so this is great information. If you don’t already have the Hubsan x4 and controller, no biggie. You can pick up the controller/transmitter separately for about $18. The Hubsan transmitter is not only bigger, but offers a few more features with the Estes Proto x, like being about to turn the lights on/off and do flips or tricks.
